Meet Aaron & Meg, another mixed culture wedding I photographed in Melaka.

I met Meg on Eddy & Lin’s wedding at Rosa Hotel Melaka. She is Eddy’s sister, and I was so happy when she and Aaron wanted meon their big day to tell their story.

Aaron is from Australia, and Meg is from Melaka, Malaysia. They knew each other on the internet when Meg was working in Melbourne. They already got married in Australia early this year, before they had this celebration with their friends and family in Melaka.

Aaron & Meg wanted a Chinese banquet so that Carey’s family and friends from Australia were able to share their joy and experience wedding of a different culture. With the help and arrangement from Eddy & Lin, they had their wedding dinner at the 9th floor’s nicely decorated poolside of Ramada Plaza with fairy lights and Chinese lanterns, overlooking the beautiful cityscape of Melaka.

Apart from that, their wedding ceremony on the following day was also a Chinese wedding. Meg was wearing a Chinese Kua, and Aaron was in a Chinese Changshan. Although covered under his long Chinese robe, I laughed every time I saw Aaron’s short and hairy legs under his robe during the gate crash.

It was a simple ceremony; however, the whole vibe for the day was an intimate family celebration, and we loved being there.
