09 Sep Inspired by EeTeen & Ted
Some days just feel nice and easy, and this was definitely one of them. EeTeen and Ted came up to Melaka for their engagement shoot, spending a slow and simple day together before their big celebration a few months later.
Ted is originally from Melaka but now lives in KL with EeTeen, who’s also from there. It was really sweet that they chose to come back to Ted’s hometown for this session. The whole day felt calm and familiar, like a quiet little pause before the next chapter.
It was also a bit special for me too. I had photographed their ROM in Putrajaya last year, so seeing them again felt a bit like catching up with old friends. There’s a quiet kind of trust that comes from being part of someone’s story before, and it made this shoot feel even more relaxed.
We started the day out in nature, surrounded by greenery. EeTeen wore a beautiful gown and Ted looked sharp in a formal coat. At one point, a black dog wandered over and decided to stick around for most of the shoot. It was totally unplanned but honestly felt like it belonged in the story.
Later on, we headed into the old streets for the second part of the shoot. We kicked it off at a small café on Jalan Bunga Raya. EeTeen and Ted had changed into casual outfits, and we hung out there for a bit, snapped a few photos, and just took it easy. After that, we wandered around the streets and alleys, took more shots as we walked, and just went with the flow.
The weather played along too. Most of the day stayed cloudy, which gave everything a soft and calm feel. In the morning, during the gown shoot out in nature, the sun came out just for a short while, just enough to catch a few warm golden frames before it slipped back behind the clouds.
EeTeen and Ted are such a lovely pair. Ted is a big Back to the Future fan. I could see his Back to the Future t-shirt under his denim vest. EeTeen is more of an E.T. fan, partly because her name sounds like it. They both love their classic movies and just have a really easy natural vibe together.
Spending time with them was a real joy. Wishing EeTeen and Ted all the best as they start this new chapter together. Here’s to lots of love, laughter, and great memories ahead.
